We were surprised to be having him so early but are fortunate that he is doing well. Daddy took this picture right after he was born. The vent was put in to give him special Lung medicine called surfactant to coat his lungs and help them as they continue to develop.

 A few hours later they took the tube out and he now has nasal prongs and the breathing air of a vapo therm. He is at room air (21%O2) and 6Lpm  (Liters per minute of humidified air blowing into his lungs) and is doing very well.

We are very blessed he is doing so well and especially that the doctors were able to keep mommy pregnant long enough for the steroid shots to help his lungs develop.
He came faster and earlier than expected... we love this little boy and are so blessed by his strong and fighting presence in our lives already!
