Melany is now 9 weeks old. She is doing well. No longer on any breathing support, in an open crib and she had her feeding tube taken out yesterday. She is nursing most of the time and has only taken a few bottles since yesterday. Tonight I am nesting with her so she can nurse all night with me while in the hospital.
Today we met with Melany's treatment team to go over how she is doing now that she will be going home soon. There was evidence of a brain bleed found in her most recent ultrasound. A grade 4 which is the worst. It could effect her motor development in her arm and leg on one side. She will be having a MRI tomorrow to assess the situation further. She shows no effects of it and we won't really know if it will have an impact at all until she is older.
She is such a blessing in our lives and doing so so well. We are praying for a miracle that she won't have any issues with this new finding.
